4) Management's Expectations

Question

"During feedback sessions after the event did you feel that all areas had been covered?"

Group 1
"Yes, very well"
Group 2
"Mainly, however the feedback during the activities could have been more detailed"
Group 3
"Yes after the two meetings with the delivery team the levels of feedback had been discussed and in practice were successful"
Group 4
"Yes, the main values of the event were togetherness and raising morale which I felt were both covered brilliantly"
Group 5
"They were covered, the facilitators used quite an autocratic style which I think could have been better but ultimately they covered all areas in good depth"

Detailed Analysis

Group 1
(12 Participants)
Crystal Challenge

Through changes made to previous events Group 1 knew what areas were going to be covered on the day.

Through this close dialogue between client and organiser the event was a great success.

Group 2
(21 Participants)
Everest Challenge

Group 2 was expecting more feedback on the day and through the activities, she stated that:

"I could see that the activities were covering all of my goals, unfortunately due to our own time restraints there was not enough time to provide a higher level of detailed feeback after each activity"

Group 3
(19 Participants)
Corporate Sailing Day

Group 3 reported that all of the areas were covered and this was due to previous in-depth meetings held with the delivery team.

He stated that:

"Thanks to the meetings prior to the event all of the areas were covered and were completed in the style I desired, the event was spectacular"

Group 4
(65 Participants)
It's a Knockout

Group 4 viewed the event as a complete success with all of the desired areas covered.

Group 5
(17 Participants)
Facilitated Belbin Event

Group 5 achieved everything they set out to, and found the day highly absorbing and effective.

However she was slightly surprised with the style the delivery team used, she said that the autocratic delivery caused a small number of employees to resent and not repond to as well.

"Although all of the areas were covered with great purpose, I think that the style in which they were delivered could have been more appropriate to the audience"
