Have you always wanted to travel the world but never had the time or opportunity to do so? Well, now is your chance with your very own interactive, Around the World Treasure Hunt!
It doesn't matter if we start from the office, hotel or local pub; you can whisk your team away to every corner of the earth. To make this happen, we'll send out your very own event manager who will act as your travel agent, they will provide each team with an iPad loaded with state-of-the-art treasure hunt software. The software on the tablet will allow each team to choose their own destinations, with novel challenges in every country they visit.
Even though travel has never been more straightforward, teams will need to use the interactive map and make their way to the correct GPS waypoint to unlock the country of their choice; no passport required! Upon arrival, teams could be asked to answer country-specific questions on local culture, food, music, film, and more. Or you could meet a local who will ask you to complete a challenge from their home country. Perhaps you'll need to work together to prove your ice hockey skills or impress an origami master!
Whatever you do, don't forget to collect souvenirs or take pictures along the way! Your travel agent will want to see them when you get back.
It's up to your team to decide where to visit in the time you have, but remember that the team that wins the medals will plan their route carefully!
The Around the World Treasure hunt can begin almost anywhere. We just need an appropriate place to meet and finish.
Your travel agent will provide you with an iPad tablet that will take you on a worldwide adventure, all within walking distance. On your adventure, you will need to complete questions and challenges at the 'hotspots' shown on your interactive map. You will also meet locals who will give you extra challenges from their homeland.
Each team will be able to keep track of everyone's progress worldwide, and a live scoreboard will show how much teams have done and learnt on their travels.
The final journey will take you home, where your travel agent will want to see the souvenirs you've collected along the way before counting the scores and announcing a winner.

Round the World Treasure Hunt turns a local area into a virtual global adventure. Teams use iPads to navigate to GPS waypoints representing different countries, where they unlock questions and challenges based on local culture, food, music, film and other aspects of life around the world.
The event uses interactive treasure-hunt software to create the illusion of international travel. Teams physically move around the chosen location on foot, but their iPad map allows them to unlock different countries and complete challenges inspired by each destination.
Reaching the correct GPS waypoint unlocks the destination's challenge. Teams might be asked questions about local culture, food, music or film, or encounter a "local" character who sets them an activity inspired by their home country.
The challenges vary according to the virtual destination. Examples include ice-hockey skills and origami, illustrating the mixture of cultural questions, practical challenges and more unusual activities that teams can encounter.
Yes. Teams use the interactive map to decide which destinations to visit within the time available. That makes route planning important because the teams need to balance the attractions of different destinations with the time it takes to reach them.
Yes. Teams can keep track of the progress of the other groups, while a live scoreboard shows how much each team has completed and learned. That adds a competitive element to what could otherwise be a straightforward sightseeing-style treasure hunt.
No passport is required. Your iPad acts as the travel guide, unlocking virtual destinations as teams reach the relevant GPS waypoints around the event area.
The event can begin almost anywhere with a suitable meeting and finishing point, including an office, hotel or local pub. The treasure hunt then takes place within walking distance of the starting location.
The event is suitable for groups of approximately 10 to 500 people, making it suitable for both smaller corporate teams and much larger groups. Teams compete separately while the central software keeps track of everyone's progress.
The Round the World Treasure Hunt is designed to run come rain or shine. Teams will be walking between their virtual destinations, so sensible clothing is important, but the weather doesn't change the basic structure of the adventure.
