Break the ice in style...
The Autumn International Rugby Matches will be making their return this weekend and to kick things off The Barbarians will be taking on the New Zealand All Blacks this Saturday!
The game will be held at Twickenham Stadium and will be in celebration of the New Zealand Rugby Union’s 125th anniversary.
What better way to get into the spirit of the day than to take part in our very own HAKA workshop?!
The HAKA is an ancient Maori tradition, originally used on the battlefield as a war dance and show of strength aimed to intimidate their opposition it was later adapted by the All Blacks in 1905 to be performed at the start of their games.
Today the traditional dance is used for a variety of different ceremonies/ celebrations to show their importance, for example, at weddings or funerals. The HAKA makes for a perfect conference icebreaker event, as your guests become unsettled and ‘death by PowerPoint’ seems imminent… Our HAKA Masters storm the room with a roar as they bellow out the opening chant.
This event gets your group up on their feet and learning how to perform the sacred tribal dance with 100% Maori passion!
