Team Building in Coventry
The city of Coventry in the West Midlands is the ninth largest city in England by population. It is known for the 11-hour Luftwaffe bombing raid in the Second World War which intended to wipe the city out as it was a major wartime production centre. The old Cathedral was destroyed and has been replaced with a modern building. Much of the city centre has been regenerated. As a result of this, there are more than 50 parks and green spaces in the city, making it an excellent location for our urban roaming team building events such as the Hidden Quest Treasure Hunt. Coventry is the birthplace of the British car industry; the Daimler Motor Company was launched there in 1896, and a scene from a film that is close to our heart was filmed on the city’s ring road. It is the scene in The Italian Job in which a Mini is chased by a bus, and you can see many of the city’s landmarks in the background. On the subject of racing, our F1 Challenge is a great team building event that can be brought to Coventry. We provide a pre-made chassis and the aim is to build an F1 racer using the materials we provide and race it in traditional soap-box racer style.
Team Building Events in Coventry
The Rollercoaster Challenge is an indoor team building event that can be brought to Coventry. You build a track around your conference room that can transport a ball through the entire construction without any human intervention. The track’s power dynamics must be carefully considered, using dips to speed the ball along and inclines to slow it down. Loops and jumps can be added, and points are earned for these embellishments. Coventry is a centre for engineering excellence, and this team building activity suits the location perfectly. An alternative indoor option is the Ultimate Challenge. Each team is given a box containing hundreds of puzzles and challenges, and it must complete as many of these as possible within a time limit. The clock starts to count down, and the pressure is on! This will require teamwork and strategy. The first step is an audit of team skills; who likes the look of which challenges. Some will be more cerebral, and others more physical. Some team members might have experience of a challenge, which is a distinct advantage. Then it’s strategy. Some challenges are more difficult than others, and carry higher point values. You cannot complete all of them, so which ones will give the most points in the available time?
