Animaniacs turns your group into a miniature animation studio. Teams create a story, build plasticine characters and use stop-motion technology to produce their own animated short before gathering for a screening of the finished films.

Yes. Teams take their idea from the first rough script and storyboard through to character modelling and animation. The films are short, but completing the whole creative process gives everyone a genuine finished production to enjoy at the finale.

No previous experience is needed. Professional animators explain the process, offer practical advice and help with any particularly fiddly details. The stop-motion software is designed to let teams concentrate on imagination and storytelling rather than complicated technical settings.

Nobody has to appear on camera. Participants can write the script, draw the storyboard, create characters, design scenery, operate the stop-motion software or keep the production organised. This variety makes Animaniacs an inclusive creative team-building activity for different personalities.

Each participant has the opportunity to create a model that can become a person, creature or completely original character. Teams then decide how to use their cast within the story and bring the models to life one frame at a time.

Teams can develop an original idea or draw inspiration from a familiar film scene or television introduction. This flexibility means the activity can produce anything from a polished mini drama to something wonderfully silly that reflects the team's own sense of humour.

Groups are divided into smaller production teams, ideally with around eight people in each. That gives participants enough variety in the available roles while keeping decisions, model-making and filming manageable.

The complete activity lasts approximately three hours. That provides time to develop an idea, make the characters, film the stop-motion scenes and watch the finished productions without forcing teams to rush through the most creative parts.

Animaniacs is a mobile indoor team-building event that can be delivered at a suitable venue of your choice. A conference hotel, meeting venue or spacious workplace can all become an animation studio once the equipment and materials are set up.

Producing even a short animation requires ideas, planning, patience and shared decision-making. Participants see how creative and practical roles depend on one another, while the final screening gives the entire group a light-hearted achievement to celebrate together.
