What is it?

This team building exercise merges our Murder Mystery event with our popular Treasure Hunt.

It is loosely based on the Comic Strip's "Five Go Mad in Dorset", which is a parody of the Famous Five adventures.

The exercise can be reproduced in any location, whether it is a town or city centre, where we use public transport, or out in the country where it can be on foot or make use of mountain bikes.

The Story

The event begins as the group is divided into equal teams.
They are due to meet with their Uncle Quentin, a scientist working on a government project, building a top secret device.
While enjoying tea and cakes an hysterical maid runs into the room to inform everyone that Uncle Quentin has been murdered!
Each team is then given a map of the area, a Polaroid camera (to collect evidence) and a folder containing clues and top secret documents.
Each team is also given a toy "Timmy the Dog" who must appear in every photograph, with more creative appearances earning extra points.
The teams then head off to search for clues and hunt down the murderer of Uncle Quentin.
During their adventure they will meet with strange characters, (our actors in costume) who will become the suspects.

The Format

This is a half day team building exercise followed by an afternoon tea or dinner, during which several final pieces of evidence are revealed.

Teams give their solution at the end of the meal and the murderer is unmasked.

This is a fun event and allows groups to become very involved, perhaps wearing costumes or school uniforms.

The event has been run successfully for a variety of clients, in many cases becoming a part of corporate folklore in their organisation.
