Teams in the workplace are complex machines at every level in an organisation and it should come as no suprise that occasionally they malfunction, resulting in a need for realignment or an analysis of how and why the team is performing as it is.

Simon Simon Walker

Simon is an expert in leadership, team and organisational development.

He has co-founded and built a successful leadership consultancy where he could put into practice what he preached. He worked at all levels with organisations all over the world.

He speaks from experience. He has led teams on arctic expeditions and round the world yacht races and, before setting up the leadership consultancy, was MD of a well-known sports marketing business for seven years. As a result, he is regularly invited to speak on leadership and team building in complex and challenging environments and was featured in Fast Company Magazine's 'Who's Fast in 2001' selection of 16 business leaders. Simon also specialises in executive committee or operating board team development.

Andy O'Callaghan

Andy is an expert in team dynamics and effective teambuilding and has been Progressive Resources lead facilitator for over 2 years.

He has an extensive management background in the leisure industry running service and sales orientated teams for some of the UK's leading operators. He has also launched and managed clubs with turnovers of up to £7million.

He has experience working with a number of team diagnostic tools and is an Accredited trainer in Belbin and SDI. More recently, he has been involved as a founding member of a new International Team Building Association.

With over 20 years' prior management experience in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including 5 as MD of a £5m distribution company, Giles promotes the interdependence of 'the soft and the hard', aligning self-awareness, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to the business objectives and bottom-line performance of the organisation.

Giles is described in his Discovery profile as 'a particularly good communicator - adaptable, outgoing, challenging and sympathetic. He encourages freedom and independence and is good at getting things done through other people.' He draws heavily on the influences of Jungian psychology and emotional intelligence, along with empirical data such as Jim Collins' 'Good to Great'.
