Step into the spotlight and channel your inner festive filmmaker in Festive Movie Making—a Christmas-themed teambuilding event that lets you bring your creative ideas to life! Whether you’re recreating a heartwarming Nativity scene, producing your very own John Lewis-style holiday advert, or recreating a scene from your favourite Christmas film, this event is sure to get your team in the festive spirit.
Using iPads with HD cameras, professional film equipment, and a selection of festive props and costumes, you’ll film, act, and edit your own high-quality short film to share with the group at the end.
The planning stage is where the festive fun begins. Teams will brainstorm and create a festive-themed storyboard for their movie—whether it’s a Christmas advert, a classic Nativity play, or your favourite festive film. Creativity is key! You’ll then film your scenes, using different areas of the venue to enhance your festive movie magic.
Once all scenes are filmed, it’s time to edit. The iPad Movie Maker software lets you cut, add filters, titles, festive music, and special effects. Whether you want to add transitions or Christmas jingles, the possibilities are endless.

Finally, the grand unveiling takes place. Teams will gather to screen their festive films, with the option to vote for a winner or simply enjoy each team’s creative efforts.
This festive teambuilding activity is always a hit, bringing out the creative flair in everyone—quiet team members often surprise with their hidden talents! The most successful film is always the one that showcases the best teamwork and collaboration.
The Movie making activity was a great hit with the team. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Their videos were fantastic.
