Team Building in Northampton
Northampton is a town in Northamptonshire in the East Midlands. The town is known as The Home of Fine English Shoes, with a shoemaking history that dates back nearly 900 years. However, there is more to Northampton than a load of old cobblers. Close by is Silverstone racing circuit, famous for hosting the British Grand Prix. It is estimated that 80% of the world’s F1 racing cars are built in Northamptonshire, and we want you to join in with our F1 team building event. As with the real sport, there are rules designed to create a level playing field, or should we say race track. Each team is given an identical pre-made chassis, and from there it must build a soap-box-racing style F1 racer. Just like in Formula 1, branding is key, and teams earn points for their effort. Finally it is time to race, a high energy grand finale with the successful team mounting the winners’ podium and collecting the shining medal, hewn from a piece of solid gold-coloured metal. This team building event always gives us great feedback and it is also very colourful, so you will have some wonderful photos to remember the event by.
Team Building Events in Northampton
Episodes of Dr Who and Keeping Up Appearances have been filmed in Northampton. Perhaps the former is because Matt Smith, one of the actors who played Dr Who, comes from the town. Other famous Northamptonians include Rowan Atkinson and Alan Carr. That must be more than enough celebrity to make iPad Move Making an apt choice for your team building event. We provide iPads loaded with film making software, and plenty of fancy dress. The challenge is to make a film lasting for a few minutes. The films are usually very funny, but you can also use this event to communicate business messages. The films are played at the end of the event, or we can save them until dinner and hold a glamourous Oscars-style evening to celebrate the best films, best actors and funniest bloopers! An alternative team building event that is often held over or after dinner is Quizmania. This is much more than a dull old pub quiz. It is an interactive multi-media experience, all played out on a large screen to increase the competition. We can even include a round of local knowledge. One of our favourite local facts is that the world’s first garden gnomes were seen at Lamport House, near Northampton, in 1843.
