Hidden Quest is designed around the specific location where your event takes place. The route is created around local quirks, unusual history and interesting facts, so the treasure hunt isn't simply a generic set of clues moved from one town to another.
Teams are given an iPad loaded with interactive treasure-hunt software and sent out to follow a series of GPS hotspots. At each location, the software unlocks a task or puzzle, while costumed characters encountered along the route can provide additional bonus challenges.
The challenges can include general-knowledge questions, brainteasers and photo challenges, alongside tasks linked to the location itself. Because the event uses a mixture of challenge types, different members of the team can contribute their own skills.
Yes. The hunt is specifically scripted around your chosen location, making the venue and surrounding area part of the experience. The team researches the area so that the clues can make use of local history, unusual facts and features that participants might otherwise walk straight past.
The iPad software guides teams using GPS hotspots, but the interactive format means teams are actively navigating and deciding how to tackle the challenges. The route becomes part of the puzzle rather than simply being a walk from one fixed clue to the next.
Yes. The interactive scoreboard keeps track of progress and adds a competitive element to the hunt. Teams can also cross paths as they work through their routes, which often creates a little friendly rivalry along the way.
It is designed with that in mind. The hunt combines questions, brainteasers, photographs, navigation and location-based challenges, so one person's general knowledge can be just as useful as another person's sense of direction or creative thinking.
The event is suitable for groups of approximately 10 to 250 people. Larger groups can be divided into smaller teams, with the interactive scoreboard keeping track of the competition across the event.
Hidden Quest is available nationwide and can be designed around the location of your choice. It can therefore work in a town or city, around a corporate venue or hotel, or in another suitable area where there are enough interesting locations for the GPS-based challenges.
The treasure hunt is designed to operate come rain or shine, so wet weather doesn't automatically mean cancelling the adventure. Because the challenge is spread across the chosen location rather than relying on one specific outdoor activity, the hunt can continue with teams following their iPad-led trail.
