Feel the Wind in Your Hair (and the Salt in the Air!)
Our team building sailing days operate from The Solent on the South Coast near Southampton. The Solent is the spiritual home of British sailing. Whether you’re a self-confessed land lubber or salty old seadog, you’ll love a day of nautical team building, sailing and racing on gorgeous 40ft yachts.
Never Sailed Before . . . ?
Our yachts are fully crewed with a skipper and hostess. Participants are encouraged to take the helm to steer the yacht, handle the sails and grind the winches. We expect most participants to have never set foot on a boat before, let alone raced. We are expert at making sure everybody feels safe and enjoys the day.
With a fleet of identical boats, we can enjoy some really exciting sailing racing. Experience has taught us that everyone has great fun. It is natural to start out a little anxious but within minutes even the most timid are buzzing. It is the novelty of this experience that makes it both memorable and a stunning team building event.
About
Event Format
We can run this sailing event from a number of ports along the South Coast including Southampton, Hamble River and Portsmouth.
Following a safety brief from your skipper, the boats will motor out into the Solent. The morning will consist of some leisurely sailing to get used to the yacht and learn how everything works.
After lunch on board, or at a yacht club ashore, we increase the competitive team element by running some short, sharp races. Yacht racing is truly a team sport, you’ll find that communication and team coordination is key if you want to sail faster than your competition.
For those of you who fancy a bit more horse-power, we can also arrange for you to have a blast on one of our Ribs! Feel free to ask for more information about this.
We will work with you to create an itinerary that best suits your group. As well as the Sailing, we can arrange every aspect of your event including transport, hotels and any conference requirements.

About
Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we all had so much fun. I think that it is probably the best team building event we have done so far. Having never sailed before I had absolutely no idea what was about to happen and apart from thinking I might die at one point I soon realised that the yacht was actually meant to be at that angle and loved it. The sailing was wonderful, very relaxing but with enough for us to do to feel that we had learnt and contributed something.
