When BARD approached us looking for something new and exciting, Progressive Resources were pleased to welcome them into the Dragon's Lair. Teams created companies, dreamed up designs and presented their unique and innovative products to not only take the market by storm but attract the attention and investment of the Dragons.
To meet all of BARD's objectives a carefully designed package was created. The team building event BARD were looking for needed to be creative, interactive and business like. The inclusion of a desolate and intimidating set recreated the famous warehouse style Den. The Dragons (made up of BARD employees), were given unlimited funds to invest in any product that captured there imagination.
The 80 BARD employees were equally divided into eight companies. Each company had two hours to plan, create and prepare their new product for presentation. Once the Den opened, each team had a 10 minute period to introduce the company and product, and seek for investment for a percentage of their company. Each member of the team chose their designated roles. This allowed individuals to choose a role suitable for them; such roles included Salesman, Graphic Designers and Public Relations.
A company three minute advert developed the marketing campaign further. The adverts created more enjoyment and creativity. The companies were assisted with fancy dress, extra fun props and a video camera!
The evening of the event saw the ten minute pitch and the three minute ads shown on a big screen, having been professionally filmed and edited. Announcements of the results were given over dinner, with all team members in the winning company each receiving a glass engraved trophy.
