Overview

Create your Nation

Your country's flag is raised high in the air and your national anthem starts to play in the background as you step up to that first place spot on the podium of our ‘The Olympic Games’ event.

With fast paced team building games this is an event that takes inspiration from the Olympics. This fun packed day allows your team to experience a little taster of what it’s like to be an Olympian. Sort of.

You will represent your countries in a series of head to head target and team based sports. Your marksmanship will be tested in Country Sports activities such as archery, laser clay and air rifle shooting. Human table football and inflatable volleyball will then get you playing as a team.

Compete in our decathlon track & field zones, with a combination of serious and fun events. Challenge yourself with the javelin and discus, and have a go at events not quite ratified by the International Olympic Committee such as the egg & spoon race and skipping……

About

Become an Olympian...

You don’t need a £500m Olympic Stadium for this event, although we can (and have) used London 2012 Olympic venues! For over 25 years we’ve worked with hundreds of venues across the country so we can recommend an appropriate location near you.

After the briefing, our Event Manager / Olympic Chairman will split the group into national teams. Each team will then create their own country along with a national flag and anthem ready for the opening ceremony.

Once the opening ceremony concludes and the cheering fades, teams will be pitched into a series of light hearted sporting challenges which will exercise but not exert - the Olympic Team Building Games!

Will your newly founded nation be able to join the ranks with the USA, Russia, Germany and Great Britain at the top of the Medals table?  Or will you end up at the bottom of the table with Eritrea and Barbados?

We know that the weather can play a big factor in deciding on what to do for your team day out, don't worry, we have you covered come rain or shine!

We can run these activities at venues all over the country, so if you would like more information on how ‘The Olympic Games’ could work for you, contact our team today on 01590 676599 or complete an enquiry form, and we'll come back to you within 1 hour.

FAQs

The Olympic Games: Frequently Asked Questions

The Olympic Games gives teams the chance to create their own nation before competing in a series of sporting challenges. The programme combines target sports such as archery and laser clay shooting with team activities including Human Table Football and inflatable volleyball.

Yes. After the initial briefing, participants are divided into national teams and each team creates its own country, including a national flag and anthem. The event then begins with an opening ceremony before the sporting competition gets underway.

The event combines several different types of challenge. Teams can compete in archery, laser clay and air rifle shooting, then move into Human Table Football, inflatable volleyball and a mixture of track-and-field events including javelin and discus.

The activities are designed as light-hearted team-building challenges rather than serious athletic competition. The programme mixes sporting skills with creative and team-based elements, so participants can contribute in different ways rather than relying solely on physical ability.

Before the sporting challenges begin, each team creates its own national identity with a flag and anthem. The event then builds into an opening ceremony before the teams begin competing for their places on the medals table.

No. Alongside activities such as javelin and discus, the event includes deliberately playful challenges such as egg-and-spoon racing and skipping. Human Table Football and inflatable volleyball add a distinctly team-building twist to the programme.

The event can be run at suitable venues across the UK. We have worked with hundreds of venues and can recommend locations with enough space for the combination of sporting and team-based challenges; London 2012 Olympic venues have even been used for the event.

Competition runs throughout the event, with teams representing their newly created nations and accumulating results across the different sporting challenges. The overall theme is the medals table, giving the group a clear reason to celebrate every point and every event.

The event is suitable for approximately 20 to 200 people and lasts three to four hours. Larger groups are divided into national teams so that the different challenges can run as a structured competition.

The event is designed to operate in a range of weather conditions, and the activity is suitable come rain or shine. The event team can also help identify a venue and activity mix appropriate to the conditions and facilities available.
