It is a compact, GPS-enabled team-building treasure hunt created around your conference or event venue. Teams use iPads to locate hotspots, unlock challenges and earn points during a fast-moving hour of collaboration and friendly competition.
Yes. The main experience is designed to last one hour, making it a practical conference icebreaker or energiser when the schedule cannot accommodate a half-day team-building event.
The 1hr Treasure Hunt is suitable for approximately 10 to 250 participants. Larger groups are divided into smaller competing teams, giving individuals more opportunity to communicate and take responsibility.
The iPad displays a live map containing GPS hotspots around the venue. When a team physically reaches a hotspot, the corresponding question or photo challenge becomes available.
The activity is designed to reward movement, observation and teamwork rather than internet searching. Challenges only unlock at their specific locations, and many are created around features of the venue or surrounding area.
Yes. The route and content are developed for the location, including venue-specific questions and creative photo tasks. This makes the experience feel connected to the destination rather than like an off-the-shelf quiz.
There are deliberately more hotspots than teams are likely to reach within the hour. Participants therefore need to plan a sensible route and decide which challenges offer the best opportunity to build their score.
No. The iPad displays the team's location in real time, removing the need for traditional map-reading skills. It can also show rival teams and live scores, which brings an extra tactical dimension to the hunt.
It is particularly useful at the beginning of a conference, between meeting sessions or after lunch. The outdoor movement helps re-energise delegates, while the light competition encourages colleagues to mix quickly.
Even within a short session, colleagues must communicate, divide responsibilities and make decisions under time pressure. It is an accessible way to break down barriers and create a positive atmosphere for the rest of the business event.
