FAQs

Karts For Kids: Frequently Asked Questions

Karts For Kids is a charity team-building challenge in which colleagues assemble, decorate and race wooden karts. Following the competition, the completed karts are donated to local schools or charities for children to enjoy.

The event normally lasts between two and three hours. It can work as a standalone corporate CSR activity or as part of a broader staff away day or company conference.

Karts For Kids is suitable for approximately 5 to 100 participants. Teams can be organised so that everyone contributes to the practical build, creative branding or preparation for the final race.

No specialist knowledge is necessary. The activity is designed as an accessible team challenge, with colleagues working together to assemble the kart and solve practical problems along the way.

Each team develops its own racing identity, including a name, logo and sponsor-style decals. Matching caps and racing suits help bring the concept together before the karts reach the starting line.

Once the karts have been built and branded, teams compete in a lively head-to-head race. The course includes a quick pit stop, giving both the driver and supporting team members a part to play.

After the race and podium celebration, the finished karts are donated to local schools or charities. This allows the work completed during the event to create enjoyment for children in the community.

Yes. It combines the energy of a competitive team-building event with a clear charitable outcome. Employees enjoy the build and race while also seeing exactly what their time and cooperation have produced.

Participants practise planning, delegation, creative thinking and practical communication. The race deadline also encourages teams to manage their time carefully and maintain quality while working under pressure.

Colleagues do far more than simply race: they create the kart, develop its identity and support one another through the finale. The charitable donation adds a meaningful legacy that conventional corporate karting cannot offer.
