Team Building in Yorkshire
The historic county of Yorkshire in northern England can trace its roots back to Roman and Viking times. The county was forever changed by the Industrial Revolution, when it was a powerhouse of the country. In spite of this the area remains a place of natural beauty, and Yorkshire boasts three national parks; the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, and the Peak District. Yorkshire is a popular location for team building events. The rugged Yorkshire Dales were one of the inspirations for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s work ‘The Hound of The Baskervilles’. Legend tells of a creature called the Barghest, a mythical monstrous black dog with large teeth and claws which roamed the area. Why not book one of our thrilling Murder Mystery evenings, which combine absorbing plots with a great deal of humour? We use professional actors in this team building event, and particularly those with improvisation skills. There is always a great deal of banter in these shows, with the actors coming to the table to ensure maximum interaction. No two shows are the same, and it is those unique moments that often bring out the ‘in jokes’ of a group that make this a powerful team building experience. Various scripts are available, from historical to the classic 1920s period, and contemporary storylines.
Team Building Events in Yorkshire
Another popular team building event in Yorkshire is Cocktail Making. This can be done during the afternoon or before dinner, which is a very nice pre-dinner drinks experience. It can be done at any time of the day, so if you want cocktails at breakfast we are not judging! We also have a ‘mocktails’ version, so everything is covered. Yorkshire is best known for tea, but there are numerous independent breweries in the county, and Yorkshire Gin is an award-winning infusion that can be used in your Cocktail Making for a truly local touch. There are many different cocktails that include gin, but we will just bring a few along so we can get you to dinner on time. Returning to the crime theme our Crime Scene Investigation team building event is very popular as a daytime activity. We set up a taped-off crime scene in your conference room. There is a body outline and evidence has been placed around the crime scene. Two witnesses are present, played by professional actors. They must be questioned, establishing their alibi and what motive they may have for murder. If one of them can be linked to the forensic evidence, then a confession may follow.
